楊英風,字呦呦,1926年1月17日出生於台灣宜蘭縣,1997年逝世於台灣新竹。

楊英風一生獻身藝術超過六十載,創作面向廣泛,作品涵蓋了版畫、速寫、水墨、油畫、攝影、漫畫、雷射、美術設計、獎座設計、雕塑、景觀規劃…等等,從平面到立體,超過三千件,是台灣前衛藝術的倡導者,公共藝術的先驅,對後世影響深遠。
楊英風作品的題材兼具寫實、寫意,孕含宇宙自然之至理,無一不反應一位藝術家因所接觸的時空變遷,及眾多特殊的人、事、物所反映之豐富內涵;同時,感受時代變遷所表現出的多樣性作品風格。

Yu Yu Yang (aka Yang Ying Feng) was born in Yilan, Taiwan in 1926; deceased in Hsinchu, Taiwan in 1997.

For more than sixty years, Yuyu Yang dedicated himself to a wide range of arts, leaving more than three thousand works, which cover print, sketch, landscape painting, oil painting, photography, comics, laser, graphic designs, award statue design, sculpture, landscape planning, etc.. As an advocate of avant-garde art and a pioneer of public art, he had a profound influence on the subsequent artistic development in Taiwan.

Yang’s artworks fuse realism and lyricism and connote the supreme laws of universe and nature, with none of them failing to convey the his rich comprehension and feeling of the vicissitudes of time and space through experiences of countless peculiar people, events and things; at the same time, they all demonstrate the transition of his style in response to the changes of times.
